How You Can Get Six Pack Abs Without Going to the Gym

Chances are you’ve seen someone with six pack abs and thought to yourself, “I would LOVE to have abs like that!”  Yes, we’ve all been there, but for one reason or another the workouts just don’t happen or you lose touch with your goal.  Or maybe you think you have to go to the gym in order to get some rock solid abs.

Good news is that you can get six pack abs and you do not have to go to the gym to get them. Of course, the gym is a great place to go if you have the time and money, but if you don’t you can still work those ab muscles right in the comfort of your own home and neighborhood.

Let me clue you in on a couple of secrets when it comes to getting ripped abs.

Secret #1:  You already have abs

Yes, believe it or not you already have abs underneath a layer of skin and perhaps some fat tissue.  The muscles are there and sometimes they are already pretty solid; it’s just that layer of fat tissue there that is preventing you (and others) from seeing them. This is why it is important for you to do what you can do in order to decrease fat content from your body. In order to do this, you must burn a lot of calories and burning calories requires a cardio workout.

You can get a cardio workout at home by walking/running in your neighborhood, using any home gym equipment like an elliptical or treadmill, riding your bicycle, or a fitness routine.  The key is to get your cardio going for a while so that you can burn as many calories as you can. A great start would be to do a cardio workout 4 to 5 days a week for about 45 minutes at a time.  You can start off more gradual if you’d like, but increase your time and frequency as you can. This, along with eating healthy, will help you to lose fat from your body and in particular, your belly area.

Secret #2: You don’t need to kill your abs to get killer abs

Yes, you should work your abs out using different exercises, but you don’t have to work them out like crazy in order for them to become defined.  As you lose fat from your stomach area, you will begin to see your abs. By spending some time doing crunches, sit-ups, and other exercises designed to strengthen the ab muscles, you’ll notice your abs becoming harder and more defined.

Combine cardio with ab exercises consistently and you’ll be sure to get some hardcore abs that you will love showing off in your summer swimming attire.  Anyone can get some defined abs if they are willing to do the work and you don’t have to go to a fitness center to accomplish this. You can do it from home in the comfort of your own living room or local neighborhood.
